Brian Petheram - Co-Director

Originally a computer engineer, my interests evolved in the direction of how the technology is used rather than the technology itself.

This led to a degree in Systems Analysis and subsequently a focus on the ways in which computers can be used to assist in the rehabilitation of communication disorders with a focus on aphasia. This has been the main focus of my research since 1984 and I have been a member of the Unit since its inception.

I am also Reader in Information Systems at the University of the West of England and my two roles tend to complement each other very well.
